About Us

About playmarblerun.app

We publish a free marble run game for the browser: build a track from ramps, curves, springs, and boosters, release the marble, and watch real physics carry it to the cup — on any screen, with nothing to install.

Our craft

Build. Drop. Adjust.

Place a piece, release the marble, see what it does. That loop is everything we design around.

What we make

A free marble run that stays in the browser

playmarblerun.app is the site behind our Marble Run game. It is a single-player physics puzzle: each level has a drop chute, a goal cup, fixed obstacles, and a tray of ramps, curves, planks, springs, boosters, and blocks. You place and rotate the pieces on a grid, release the marble, and refine the track until it rolls into the cup.

We are not an app-store publisher and there is nothing to download. The game is the website. That keeps load times short, works on phones and desktops alike, and avoids an account wall. Stars, unlocked levels, and your saved tracks live in local browser storage on your device.

Whether you searched for marble run, marblerun, or a typo like marbel run, this page only speaks for playmarblerun.app. The pieces, physics, and rules described in our how-to-play guide and FAQ match this exact build.

Our story

From the toy box to your browser tab

Marble runs have been a favourite construction toy for generations. We wanted the same build-and-watch satisfaction with no parts to lose and a puzzle to solve.

  1. 01

    Marbles and tracks

Marbles are among the oldest toys there are, and building a path for one to roll down is the most natural thing to do with them. Wooden marble tracks became a staple of European toy making in the twentieth century, from simple zig-zag ramps to towers of stacked channels.

  2. 02

    Modular systems

Modular marble runs turned the toy into a construction puzzle. Cube systems such as Cuboro, launched in Switzerland in the mid-1980s, let builders route a marble through and around blocks; later sets like Ravensburger’s GraviTrax added magnets, launchers, and lifts. Online, “marble machines” built from hundreds of parts became a genre of their own.

  3. 03

    This build

playmarblerun.app takes the modular idea and puts it on a grid in your browser. Instead of a box of parts and a free-form frame, each level gives you a goal, a few fixed obstacles, and exactly the pieces you need — so every level is a small physics puzzle, and the sandbox is there when you just want to build.

What we stand for

Principles behind every level

Instant to start

Open the page and the first level is already on the board. No account wall, no download, no splash video — pick a ramp and you are building.

Puzzles that are fair

Every level is checked by a solver that replays the reference solution: it must reach the cup with every star, and it must still work when the marble starts a hair to the left or right. No level depends on luck.

Yours to keep

Unlocked levels, best stars, the track you were building on every level, and your sandbox creation live on your device. There is no login, so there is nothing to hold your progress hostage.

Free, for real

All 14 levels and the sandbox are free. No energy meters, no video ads between levels, no paid hint packs.

Who it is for

Builders, tinkerers, and puzzle fans

playmarblerun.app is a family-friendly, single-player game with no chat and no store. A poor fit if you want multiplayer or a 3D camera; a good fit if you enjoy watching a contraption you built actually work.

  • Short sessions

Most levels take one to five minutes. Marble Run fits a phone on the couch, a coffee break, or a classroom warm-up.

  • Thinking, not reflexes

Nothing moves until you press Run, and you can stop, adjust, and run again as often as you like. The challenge is reading the physics, not reacting fast.

  • All ages

No chat, no store, no reading required to play. Younger players can free-build in the sandbox; older players can chase three stars with the fewest pieces.

Why this site

How playmarblerun.app is different

There are plenty of marble run toys and a few online builders. This one exists to be the quickest to start, the clearest to read, and a real puzzle game.

  • A goal, not just a sandbox

Many online marble runs are free-build only. Here you get handcrafted levels with a cup to reach and stars to collect, plus a sandbox that rewards the longest finishing run.

  • Physics you can read

A 2D side view with clear pieces shows exactly where the marble will touch. The simulation is deterministic, so one changed piece gives one clear change in the run.

  • Built for touch and keyboard

Most 3D marble run builders are awkward on a phone and impossible without a mouse. This one is tap-to-place on mobile and fully playable from the keyboard.

How we build

Designed for the browser you already have

The game runs entirely on the web: a canvas board, synthesized sound, tap / click / keyboard controls, and progress that stays local unless you clear your browser data. We use lightweight analytics to see what helps players — never to gate the game behind a profile. The engine on the home page is the one described on our rules pages, so search results and the live game never drift apart.

  • Play anywhere

Phone, tablet, and desktop share one board. Click or tap to place, drag to paint, right-click or long-press to remove, and use number keys, R, and Space on a keyboard.

  • Progress on your device

Stars, unlocked levels, every in-progress track, and your sandbox build are stored locally. You keep your progress without signing up.

  • Quiet improvement

We watch aggregate usage through Google Analytics to improve pacing and polish. Details are in our Privacy Policy — never as a sales pitch.
